CESA plans to expand its facilities through the construction of a New Product Development Centre at its plant in Getafe. The project will begin during the second quarter of 2014.

Last year, for the construction of this New Centre, CESA acquired land next to its Getafe plant, an extension of 15,000 square meters. The land chosen was owned by EADS. This option allows CESA to expand its facilities by occupying the lot adjacent to its current facilities.

This investment will allow CESA to make room in its current facilities to take on the rise in production anticipated to accommodate the increase in the A400M, A350 and S-92 programs especially. Furthermore, with this new Centre, CESA reinforces its commitment to R&D&I in aeronautics.

Besides acquiring this land and constructing this centre, CESA is investing in the corresponding machinery and test benches.

The expansion of the facilities will also affect the work force, which is made up of 305 workers, and will entail an increase in personnel in accordance with the increase in activity.

Construction of this new centre will last approximately one year, with its inauguration expected to take place in 2015.
