Presence of CESA in AeroIndia 2017

CESA has participated in the 11th edition of Aero India, held from the 15th to the 18th of February at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru.

In recent years, Aero India has become one of the most important military aviation fairs and one of the biggest corporate meetings in the world. In this last edition there were more than 549 companies in attendance from 51 different countries.

The event began with an opening ceremony presided over by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, who emphasized the importance of the ‘Make in India’ initiative. This proposal intends to increase the GNP and improve quality standards while reducing environmental impact. It also seeks to attract capital and technological investment to the country in several sectors, including the aeronautical sector.

India has achieved a 43% rise in imports worldwide. It is currently the world’s leading importer, with 13% of the total, ahead of other Asian countries such as Saudi Arabia (8.2%), United Arab Emirates (4.6%), China (4.5%) and Algeria (3.7 %) in fifth place. All this has made India a developing market with several aeroplane manufacturing programmes of great interest to Europe.

The strategic agreement signed five years ago with WIPRO has brought CESA back to this event once again this year. CESA did not want to miss this opportunity to show the attending public its capacity and presence in the Indian market. CESA displayed its accumulator, developed for the HTT40 trainer, as well as the Flap actuator for the Hürkus Turkish training plane and the design of electromechanical flight controls for the C295, amongst other developments.
