The 52nd edition of the International Paris Air Show, held between June 19th and 25th, was inaugurated by the President of France, E. Macron.

CESA attended Le Bourget with its own stand, located in the Spanish Pavilion, coordinated by TEDAE, in which 24 companies, organisms and technological centers were present. Association President Adolfo Menéndez stressed the importance of the national aeronautic industrial fabric, and its strategic value to the country’s economy.

CESA considers it a duty to be present in Europe’s greatest aeronautics show. The Paris Air Show is a worldwide showcase for aeronautics and aerospace, bringing together all the latest developments and attracting the main manufacturers and suppliers of the aeronautical industry.

The “Spanish Aeronautics Day” held in the Spanish Pavilion was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Defense, Agustín Conde, who highlighted the important role of the aeronautical industry in Spain.

Of particular note was the presence of Susana Díaz, President of the Government of Andalusia, who accompanied the Andalusian companies and visited the various stands of the Spanish pavilion. This pavilion was also visited by other important figures, such as Sylvie Goulard, Minister of Defense of France, Elzbieta Bienkowska, European Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, representatives from the Spanish Ministry of Defense, and a delegation from the Government of Castilla y León, among other institutional visits.

CESA exhibited several types of equipment, with different technology and materials. Highlights included the state-of-the-art technology such as the Sikorsky S-92 helicopter landing gear, which CESA is responsible for partially designing and for producing, and the actuator for the A350 XWB’s main landing gear. It also presented high-technology equipment, such as the internal crane for the A400M airplane, which can lift 5 tons and move inside the aircraft at speeds of up to 18m/minute.

During the Paris Air Show CESA conducted several demonstrations of the operation of the Research electromechanical actuator, designed to achieve a more electrical, more efficient, and less polluting aircraft.

The company took advantage of its presence in the event to meet with potential customers, thereby consolidating future collaborations that will allow CESA to continue growing and to strengthen its international presence.
