CESA signs a contract with EMK

CESA signed a contract with the Korean firm Energy & Machinery Korea during the Paris Air Show 2017, whereby the Spanish company CESA will be responsible for developing the KF-X fighter’s hydraulic tank and for manufacturing part of the development and serial units.

Present at the meeting were, on behalf of EMK, CEO Sam-Su Kang, and Technical Director Shin-Hyun Kang, and on behalf of CESA, CEO José Leal and Technical and Business Director Eduardo Chamorro.

Korea Co. is a firm with experience in production systems, gas filtering and manufacturing structural elements and equipment for Aircraft and Defense systems. It has a solid reputation with KAI as a local supplier, with experience in the T50 and in the KUH Surion and LCH/LAH helicopters.

CESA and EMK have worked together before on several projects;
• Project under the European Union’s Eureka seal for the development of an On-Board Inert Gas Generation System (OBIGGS), to inertize aircraft fuel tanks and
• Development of the two main elements of the hydraulic distribution system, the Tank and the filter Manifold for the LCH/LAH helicopter.

This new collaboration agreement between CESA and EMK is another milestone in the establishment of a relationship that the managers of both companies want to ensure is strong and enduring.
