ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

Development for Advanced Manufacture and Prototyping of Strategic Components using Laser-Assisted Powder Sintering.

Additive manufacturing is experiencing an exciting time due to the advantages it provides over conventional manufacturing methods. Specifically, for the aeronautical industry this type of manufacturing can result in substantial weight reduction in the aircraft, as it allows manufacturing parts with much more complex and optimized shape.

HD Spain has been involved in ALM technologies during the last years. Different parts and assemblies have been analysed, redesigned, manufactured and validated to different degree levels with different technologies (SLS, Selective Laser Sintering; FDM, Fused Deposition Modelling; SLM, Selective Laser Melting; EBM, Electron Beam Melting; and DMLS, Direct Metal Laser Sintering) and using a variety of materials (Ti6Al4V, In718, PH steels and Aluminium alloys, polyamide).

Development base on Spanish Technology for Advanced Manufacture and Prototyping of Strategic Components using Lasser-Assisted Powder Sintering.
