On Saturday 14th June, CESA celebrated its 25th anniversary with an event for the entire staff and their families. More than 1,000 people came together for the event. It was an unforgettable day that began with a open-house at the company’s Getafe facility, where the entire aeronautical family met and the attendees were taken on a guided tour of the factory.
The celebration continued at the Zarzuela Hippodrome, where the guests spent an enjoyable time mingling with former colleagues, retirees, staff, subcontractors and all those who have been or are part of CESA.
Manuel Sánchez, Director of Human Resources, took the opportunity to look back over the history of CESA, highlighting the company’s good times but also remembering its beginnings and the sourer moments, which it managed to overcome, thanks to the efforts of everyone.
Next, it was the turn of the Chairman of the Works Council, Eduardo Antón, who emphasised the strength and unity of the workers in making CESA what it is and thanked them for their efforts over the last 25 years.
José Leal, company President, wished to emphasise the social and almost family nature of the staff, their involvement and dedication, and encouraged them to continue to meet the challenges yet to come.
The undisputed protagonists were the children, for whom a multitude of fun workshops and activities were organised, in order to let them experience the fascinating world of aeroplanes, in which their parents work. The handier ones took part in aeroplane building or the cupcake workshop, while others enjoyed the inflatable attractions, face-painting, clay modelling and high-flying competitions. The young and not so young showed off their skills at flying remote-controlled helicopters.
In additions to these activities, the attendees at the event were also able to enjoy the C-101 flight simulator belonging to the Air Force’s Eagle Patrol. In short, it was an unforgettable, entertaining day during which the whole family enjoyed the world of aeronautics.
