CLEANSKY 2
The project aims to develop complex and highly integrated flight control systems for an innovative new wing for the Turboprop Regional Aircraft that will bring significant progress beyond current state of the art technology.
The main objectives of this project are to:
- Reach a sound structural optimization by means of different load alleviation systems which will be completely integrated into the new wing. These systems will be based on Electromechanically actuated systems that will be safe, efficient, reliable, and self-monitored in order to address the exigent requirement for flight control systems.
- Achieve highly integrated embedded systems with a sufficient Technology Readiness Level so as to obtain a permit to fly in the FTB2 demonstrator of the Regional Aircraft
Different EMA and their ECUs (Electronic Control Unit) are being developed, manufactured, and qualified:
- EMA for ailerons
- EMA for Spoilers
- EMA for winglets
- EMA for Flaps
